Our day in Philadelphia

Today we went in the city on a tour bus and saw some of the sites in Philadelphia. We saw statues of Benjamin Franklin & George Washington. The statue of George washington used to be of somebody else, but they chopped off his head and put on the head of George Washington. We saw the mint and learned that money with a P was made in Philadelphis. We went up the Rocky steps. John took a picture for some tourists. We also learned that Betsy Ross did not design the American flag. It was very educational. We also took a city bus to Franklin Elementry School. At first we got lost, but then we found the right bus to the school. We actually got to take a tour of school and got to meet Matt Z's cousin Kelly. Students at that school speak twenty different languages! We went to Gigi's and ate Philly steak and chees sandwiches, except for Cory who ate his 15th burger.

We had dinner at the hotel, where Cory had his 16th burger!

Matt was at an appointment all day, but will see Philly tomorrow. More touring and burgers to come.

John, Cory, Matt Z, Alex, Gail and Mary Pat
